Amy is a fifth year student at Penn State University. She will graduate in May 2017 with a Bachelor of Architectural Engineering and a focus in lighting and electrical design. She will also earn a minor in Theatre Design and Technology. Amy passed the FE exam and will earn EIT status upon graduation. During school, she spent a semester studying abroad in China and Hong Kong where she explored temples, skyscrapers, and everything in between. Upon graduation, Amy will start a career in themed entertainment design.

This past summer, Amy interned at Lighting Design Alliance in Long Beach, California. She learned a lot about working in lighting design and fell in love with sunny Southern California.

Amy is an active member of Penn State Theme Park Engineering Group, having held the roles of Vice President, Secretary, and TEA Chair. Her professional involvement includes student membership of ASTM and NextGen membership of the Themed Entertainment Association. Amy has attended the ASTM F24 Symposium as well as Live Design International, and volunteered her time at TEA's SATE this past fall. Other organizations include student membership of IALD and membership of the student chapter of the Illuminating Engineering Society.

 

In June 2017, Amy will begin a professional internship at Disneyland Resort on the Architecture and Facilities Engineering team.
